Biography
Dr. Armando Alborghetti is an anesthesiologist and intensivist at the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Service of Policlinico San Pietro.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia in 1985. In 1988, he completed his specialization in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the University of Milan.
His career at Policlinico San Pietro began in 1987, first as an assistant and later as deputy physician in the Intensive Care Unit.
Since 2006, he has been Head of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Service, the Intensive Care Unit, the Pain Therapy Unit, and the Emergency Department. He also coordinates the clinical organization of the operating rooms.
Over the years, he has continuously pursued professional development, attending numerous courses and conferences in anesthesiology and intensive care. He has gained in-depth knowledge in general anesthesia and loco-regional anesthesia techniques.
He has enhanced his skills in the clinical evaluation, monitoring, treatment, and care of critically ill patients in surgical, medical, transplant, and emergency contexts. He specializes in managing patients with acute renal failure and extracorporeal purification methods.
He also has expertise in managing difficult airway scenarios.
He has attended many national and international congresses in anesthesiology and intensive care, also serving as lecturer and speaker.
He was a professor at the School of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the University of Milan-Bicocca. He is currently a lecturer in Anesthesiology and Pain Therapy for the Nursing Degree Program at UniSR, based at Policlinico San Pietro.
