Biography

Prof. Andrea Salonia, specialist in Urology and in Endocrinology and metabolic diseases with andrological specialization, is urologist of the Operative Unit of Urology of Ospedale San Raffaele directed by Prof. Francesco Montorsi, where he is also coordinator of the Care Area for Couple's Medicine and Director of URI-Urological Research Center, the official translational research institute of Ospedale San Raffaele completely dedicated to urological and andrological pathologies.

Prof. Salonia is Full Professor of Urology at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan, where he is Chairman of the International MD Program (IMDP) and co-chair of the Curriculum in Experimental and Clinical Medicine for the International PhD Program in Molecular Medicine.

After graduating in 1996 in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, he specialized in Urology at the University of Trieste in 2001 and, in 2007, in Endocrinology and Diseases of Reciprocal System at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan. Finally, in 2015, he obtained his PhD in Clinical and Experimental Biotechnology in Urology at the University Magna Graecia of Catanzaro.

Over time, the clinical activity of Prof. Andrea Salonia has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of all problems in the andrological field, with him an International Opinion Leader in Sexual Medicine and Male Reproductive Medicine. He also deals with Functional Urology, with particular expertise in the field of neuro-urology, as well as prostatitis, urinary tract infections, and oncological pathologies of the testicle and bladder.

He is the author of more than 500 original scientific articles published in international journals. He constantly participates as a speaker and moderator in the field national and international conferences and is Chairman of the Panel for Male Sexual and Reproductive Health of the European Association of Urology Guidelines.
