Andrea Milella
Biography
Dr. Andrea Milella is an orthopedic surgeon in the Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Reconstructive Prosthetic Surgery and Osteoarticular Therapies (PROMETEO) team at Istituto Clinico San Siro.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1993, where he also completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1998.
Before joining the Hip and Knee Prosthetic Surgery Center at Istituto Clinico San Siro in 2009, Dr. Milella served from 1996 to 1999 in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department at Policlinico San Pietro (BG). From 1999 to 2009, he worked as a Medical Manager with the title of Assistant at the Orthopedic Clinic of the University of Milan - Bicocca, in the Orthopedics Department of San Gerardo dei Tintori Hospital in Monza.
Since 1997, he has performed and participated in major orthopedic surgeries on a daily basis at various facilities. For the past ten years, his primary focus has been on prosthetic surgery.
In terms of teaching, Dr. Milella was a contract professor for the course "Functional Anatomy of the Musculoskeletal System," which supplemented the official course in "Human Anatomy and Histology" in the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan - Bicocca (2000-2001). He also taught the Advanced Course in Rehabilitation and Orthotics of the Hand (1995-1997) at the same university.
