Alberto Luigi Gallotti

Biography

Dr. Alberto Luigi Gallotti is a neurosurgeon in the Department of Neurosurgery of the Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi Clinical Research Institute.

He completed his medical degree at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in 2014, with a specialization in neurosurgery attained in 2020.

Since 2019, he has been undergoing doctoral training in the specialty “Molecular Medicine” at the same university, in the laboratory of biology of neural stem cells.

In 2011, he traveled abroad to the Yale Smilow Cancer Center in Connecticut (USA), and in 2019 to the Department of Neurosurgery at the University Hospital Tubingen in Germany.

He currently works in the Department of Oncological Neurosurgery at the Galeazzi Clinical Research Institute, headed by Professor Lorenzo Bello, providing routine and emergency care.

Dr. Gallotti is particularly interested in oncological diseases of the central nervous system.

He has about 11 publications in international peer-reviewed journals. The main topics of these publications concern basic and traditional research in the field of neurooncology, including interdisciplinary work, and stereotaxic radiosurgery for arteriovenous malformation.
