Biographie

Le professeur Giampaolo Bianchini est Responsable de l’Oncologie Mammaire au sein du Département d’Oncologie Médicale de l’IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele et Professeur Associé à l’Université Vita-Salute San Raffaele.

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de Médecine et Chirurgie en 2000 à l’Université Milano-Bicocca, il s’est spécialisé en Oncologie Médicale en 2004 à l’Université de Milan.

Au cours de sa formation, il a réalisé des séjours en tant que Visiting Scientist dans plusieurs institutions américaines prestigieuses, dont le National Cancer Institute (Bethesda), le MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston) et le Yale Cancer Center (New Haven).

Le Prof. Bianchini prend en charge des patientes atteintes de cancer du sein à un stade initial ou métastatique, avec une expérience clinique de près de vingt-cinq ans. Il est reconnu internationalement comme l’un des experts de référence dans ce domaine. Il s’intéresse également au développement de nouvelles thérapies et approches immunothérapeutiques.

Il est responsable du groupe de recherche clinique translationnelle et d’immunothérapie au sein du Département d’Oncologie Médicale et participe à de nombreux projets de recherche visant à comprendre les mécanismes de réponse et de résistance aux traitements, identifier de nouvelles stratégies thérapeutiques et définir des biomarqueurs permettant une meilleure personnalisation des soins.

Le Prof. Bianchini est auteur de nombreuses publications dans des revues internationales telles que Nature, The Lancet, Annals of Oncology, The Lancet Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Medicine, Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, entre autres. Il participe régulièrement à des congrès nationaux et internationaux.
