Biographie

Le Dr Giorgia Mangili est chef de l'unité de gynécologie oncologique médicale de l'unité opératoire de gynécologie et d'obstétrique de l'hôpital IRCCS San Raffaele de Milan, dirigée par le professeur Massimo Candiani.

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de médecine et de chirurgie à l'université de Milan en 1983, elle s'est spécialisée dans le même institut en gynécologie et obstétrique en 1987 et en oncologie en 1991. En 2017, elle a obtenu la qualification nationale d’un professeur titulaire en gynécologie et obstétrique.

Dans son activité clinique, le Dr Mangili s'occupe principalement d'oncologie gynécologique, avec une longue expérience dans le traitement médical des tumeurs gynécologiques, des tumeurs de la grossesse et des tumeurs rares affectant l'appareil génital, pour lesquelles San Raffaele est un point de référence national. Depuis des années, elle s'occupe également de la préservation de la fertilité des patients atteints de cancer et est responsable de la filière "maternité et cancer".

Giorgia Mangili est chercheuse principale dans des essais nationaux et internationaux de phase II et III menés selon les BPC (bonnes pratiques cliniques). Son activité de recherche se concentre sur l'étude de médicaments innovants en oncologie gynécologique et le traitement de cancers rares.

À ce jour, elle est l'auteur et la co-auteure de chapitres de livres en oncologie gynécologique et d'environ 150 articles publiés dans des revues scientifiques nationales et internationales. Son indice H est de 30. Elle est membre de plusieurs sociétés scientifiques, telles que l'European Gynecologic Cancer Society (ESGO), l'European Organization for treatment of Trophoblastic Disease (EOTTD) et l'AIOM.

Elle fait partie du conseil d'administration du groupe MITO "Multicenter Italian Trials in Ovarian cancer and gynecologic malignancies".

En 2013, avec Valentina Di Mattei, psychologue, elle a fondé Salute allo Specchio Onlus, une association qui vise à soutenir les femmes traitées à San Raffale pour des pathologies oncologiques, tant d'un point de vue psychologique qu'esthétique et psychomoteur.
