Biographie

Le professeur Adriano Lazzarin est professeur émérite à l'Université Vita Salute San Raffaele et consultant pour la division des maladies infectieuses de IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele Turro. Il travaille également à la Casa di Cura la Madonnina à Milan.

Sa formation a commencé en 1970, quand il est diplômé de la faculté de Médecine et de chirurgie de l'Université de Milan. Spécialisé en Endocrinologie à l'Université de Gênes (1974). À l'Université de Milan, il a d'abord obtenu une spécialisation en Médecine interne (1979), puis en maladies infectieuses (1982).

Depuis 1987, il a été chercheur principal et coordinateur de plusieurs groupes de recherche sur le VIH et l'hépatite. Il est lauréat du prix ”Excellence in HIV Medicine" décerné par la conférence européenne sur le SIDA (EACS). Il est membre des commissions nationales et internationales de la santé.

Il est l'auteur de plus de 800 articles scientifiques publiés dans des revues New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, Blood, Nature, Hepatology, AIDS, Journal of Infectious Diseases, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Science, Annals of Internal Medicine, Annals of Oncology, Journal of Neurology Journal of Neurovirology et Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes.
