Biografie
Dr.ssa Nicoletta Carlo-Stella is a specialist in Reumatology at the outpatient clinic of the Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo, where she practices as a freelancer.
She obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia in 1993, and then specialized in Allergology and Clinical Immunology in 1999 at the same institution. In 2006, she earned a PhD in Public Health from the University of Pavia, with a dissertation on the role of certain immune system genes in chronic fatigue syndrome. Her research was conducted at the Immunogenetics Laboratory in the Department of Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Pavia and at the Immunohematology unit of the Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia.
Her career includes:
- 1986-1993: During her medical degree, she completed a research internship in Immunopathology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, USA.
- 1993-1999: During her specialization, she completed an internship at the Division of Medicine at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.
- 1999-2001: She undertook a two-year advanced training at the Reumatology Unit of the Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia.
- 2001-2002: Worked as a medical assistant in the Internal Medicine department at the Reumatology outpatient clinic at the Casa di Cura San Camillo in Cremona.
- 2007-2009: Served as a medical assistant in Reumatology at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano, where she was involved in outpatient care, Day-Hospital activities, and research, particularly on progressive systemic sclerosis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Dr.ssa Carlo-Stella has extensive experience in clinical practice and research in immunology and rheumatology.
