Giorgio Malanca

Dr. Giorgio Roberto Malanca is an orthopedic surgeon in the Unit I at Istituto Clinico Città di Brescia.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia in 2010 and registered with the Brescia Medical Board the same year. In 2016, he completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Brescia. In 2021, he undertook a fellowship in hip prosthesis revision surgery.

During his specialization, Dr. Malanca served as an orthopedic consultant for rugby clubs in the province of Brescia, a role he continues to hold. From 2016 to 2022, he was a Medical Director in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department at Spedali Civili of Brescia, focusing on the treatment of polytraumatized patients.

He is an expert in hip prosthetics, serving as the internal head of proximal femur fractures in the elderly and as a consultant in preventive medicine.

Dr. Malanca specializes in:

• Treatment of coxarthrosis with hip prosthetics using a minimally invasive approach
• Revision surgery
• Treatment of gonarthrosis with total or unicompartmental knee prosthetics

He is also skilled in the arthroscopic treatment of sports trauma, including anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and meniscal pathologies. Additionally, he participates in national and European masterclasses on the treatment of periprosthetic fractures.
