Claudia Granata

Dr. Claudia Granata is a physiatrist at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Unit at Villa Erbosa in Bologna.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna in 1968. In the following years, she obtained the following specializations from the same university:

• In 1970, a specialization in Pediatrics
• In 1974, a specialization in Psychology
• In 1978, a specialization in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation

Dr. Granata worked as an outpatient physiatrist and physiatrist at the Rehabilitation and Functional Recovery Service of the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Bologna from 1977 to 1993. She served as the Medical Director of the Back Clinic Physiotherapy Center in Bologna from 1992 to 2018, and as a physiatrist at Dlabmed Clinic in Bologna from 2018 to 2023.

Currently, at Villa Erbosa, she focuses on:

• Orthopedic rehabilitation
• Rehabilitation of lower back pain and neck pain using the McKenzie method
• Rehabilitation of neuromuscular diseases

She has published 200 articles and authored 3 books on neuromuscular diseases.
