Angelo Guttadauro

Professor Angelo Guttadauro is the Head of the General Surgery Unit, the Hernia Center Monza and Brianza, and the Center for the Treatment of Proctological and Pelvic Floor Disorders at Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza.

He also practices privately at Zucchi Wellness Clinic and Casa di Cura La Madonnina. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1996 and specialized in General Surgery at the same institution in 2001.

Since 2014, he has been a General Surgery Researcher at the University of Milan Bicocca. His main research activities focus on pelvic floor surgery, colon-proctological surgery, and abdominal wall surgery.

He is the creator of a surgical technique for the treatment of diffuse circumferential anal condylomatosis and a method for treating inguinal hernia (called "All in One Mesh Hernioplasty"), which uses a small, mostly absorbable prosthesis (patented in Italy, the USA, Mexico, Tunisia, and several European countries) to avoid post-operative chronic neuralgia.

He won the “Innovation Grant of the University of Milan-Bicocca 2016” for the project “All in One Mesh Hernioplasty: an innovative prosthesis for the painless treatment of inguinal hernia” – in the “Health Industry” specialization area.

As a lead surgeon, he performs over 200 surgeries annually for prolapse and pelvic floor surgery, abdominal wall surgery, and general surgery.

He is the author/co-author of 90 scientific publications in national and international journals and has participated in numerous research projects for the Ministry of University and Scientific and Technological Research. He has also led several research projects at the University of Milan-Bicocca.

He serves as the Scientific Secretary of the national reference school for "Colonproctology and Pelvic Floor Surgery" of the Italian Society of Surgery and is the regional delegate for Lombardy for the Italian Society of Geriatric Surgery.

He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Board of the Italian Society of Surgical Pathophysiology (2019-2021) and the Editorial Board of the journals Universal Journal of Surgery and American Journal of Surgery and Clinical Case Reports.

Additionally, Prof. Guttadauro teaches national and international training courses and provides instruction in surgical semiotics and pathology for the Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry, and Nursing Science programs.
