Roberto Abba

Dr. Roberto Abba is the Head of the Orthopedics Unit at the Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo in Pavia. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, where he specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology.

In the unit he leads, he specializes in Hip and Knee Prosthetic Surgery, applying total and unicompartmental prostheses, as well as Shoulder Surgery, Foot Surgery, and knee ligament reconstructions via Arthroscopy. Each year, he performs over 300 surgical procedures as the Lead Surgeon.

He has gained significant experience in small, medium, and large-scale Orthopedic and Traumatological Surgery, implanting unicompartmental prostheses using minimally invasive techniques. Throughout his career, Dr. Roberto Abba has organized training courses on knee and hip prostheses, served as a speaker at national and international orthopedic conferences, and authored numerous scientific publications.
