Biographie
Dr. Mariangela Valota is a general surgeon at Istituto Clinico Città di Brescia.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia in 2003 and specialized in General Surgery at the same institution in 2009. Dr. Valota also completed a six-month course in Doppler ultrasound.
Her clinical practice includes performing:
- Arterial and venous Doppler ultrasounds, as well as Doppler examinations of the supra-aortic trunks
- Surgical consultations
- Minor surgical procedures
Dr. Valota focuses on diseases of the colon and rectum, proctological conditions, and performs inguinal hernia repairs and wall reconstructions.
Additionally, she conducted a study on the cardiological risk in patients undergoing abdominal aortic aneurysm replacement surgery. Her findings suggest that the introduction of a beta-blocker during the procedure reduces the risk of perioperative heart attacks.
