Biographie
Dr. Marco Pungitore is an orthopedic surgeon in the Orthopedics and Traumatology I Unit at Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza, led by Dr. Claudio Manzini.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2012 and completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same university in 2018.
Dr. Pungitore has extensive experience in knee surgery, including osteotomies, prosthetic surgery, arthroscopic procedures, ligament reconstructions, and the treatment of meniscal injuries and patellofemoral instability.
He also performs hip prosthetic surgery using both the minimally invasive anterior approach and the posterolateral approach.
Throughout his career, Dr. Pungitore has completed fellowships at leading centers for knee and hip surgery. Notably, he received a SIOT (Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology) scholarship in 2017 and was awarded fellowships from the Lyon School of Knee Surgery (Lyon, France) in 2018, ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy) in Denmark (Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Fellowship) in 2019, and the EKS (European Knee Society) Knee Arthroplasty Travelling Fellowship at top European knee prosthetic surgery centers in 2023.
Dr. Pungitore actively participates as a speaker in numerous international training courses and conferences.
