Biographie

Le professeur Giovanni Landoni est directeur du centre de Recherche sur l'anesthésie et les soins intensifs de IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele. Il est également professeur associé à l'Université Vita Salute San Raffaele de Milan.

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme en 1996 de la faculté de Médecine et de chirurgie de l'Université de Milan, il s'est spécialisé dans l'anesthésiologie et les soins intensifs dans la même Université en 2000. Pendant trois ans, il a travaillé et mené des recherches à l'étranger (États-Unis, Espagne, Hollande, Inde, Ouganda).

Le professeur Landoni s'occupe principalement de l'anesthésie générale et de la gestion des patients dans l'unité de soins intensifs dirigée par le professeur Alberto Zangrillo.

En tant que chercheur, il est un expert dans la réduction de la morbidité et de la mortalité périopératoires, ainsi que des lésions organiques. Il s'intéresse également à l'introduction de traitements intensifs innovants pour soutenir les fonctions vitales (système cardiovasculaire et respiratoire) et à l'innovation en Médecine critique

Il est l'auteur et le coauteur de plus de 400 articles scientifiques publiés dans de prestigieuses revues de l'industrie. Son indice de Hirsch est 48 (Scopus) et 61 (Scholar). Il participe régulièrement en tant que rapporteur à des congrès et conférences nationaux et internationaux.
