Biographie

Le professeur Andrea Necchi est un oncologue médical spécialisé dans le traitement des tumeurs urologiques malignes, chef du service d'oncologie médicale génito-urinaire de l'hôpital de recherche San Raffaele de Milan. Titulaire d'un poste de professeur agrégé d'oncologie à l'Université Vita-Salute San Raffaele (UniSR).

Le professeur Necchi a obtenu son diplôme de médecine à l'Université de Milan (Università degli Studi di Milano), où il a ensuite terminé sa spécialisation post-doctorale en oncologie médicale. Depuis sa formation clinique en tant qu'étudiant en médecine, il a travaillé à la Fondation de l'Institut national du cancer (Fondazione Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori) à Milan, en Italie, jusqu'en novembre 2020, date à laquelle il a commencé sa pratique à l'hôpital de recherche San Raffaele.

L’activité du professeur Necchi est entièrement dédiée au traitement des tumeurs malignes génito-urinaires. Son équipe de recherche se concentre sur l'ensemble du spectre des tumeurs urologiques malignes et se consacre principalement au développement d'essais cliniques toutes phases avec de nouvelles thérapies expérimentales. En particulier, ses travaux récents se sont concentrés sur le développement de stratégies périopératoires visant à offrir de nouvelles thérapies combinées à une chirurgie radicale au stade précoce d'une maladie opérable.

Le professeur Necchi est actuellement membre du conseil d'administration de la Fondation de recherche de l'EAU et membre associé du groupe de directives ASCO-EAU sur le cancer du pénis.

Il est chercheur principal de plusieurs essais académiques en phase 1-2 de combinaisons d'immuno-oncologie dans les tumeurs urologiques malignes.

Le professeur Necchi a été le premier récipiendaire du «prix Gianni Bonadonna pour le développement de nouveaux médicaments en oncologie» et a remporté quatre prix de mérite de la Conquer Cancer Foundation de l'American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
