الدكتور أنجيلو ستوتو هو رئيس قسم جراحة القولون والمستقيم وجراحة قاع الحوض في مستشفى سان دوناتو (IRCCS Policlinico San Donato) في ميلانو ويتعاون أيضاً مع مستشفى مادونينا (Casa di cura La Madonnina).

تخرج في الطب والجراحة من جامعة فلورنسا (Università degli Studi di Firenze)، ثم تخصص في جراحة الأطفال من جامعة فيرونا (Università degli Studi di Verona) ثم واصل دراسته في جامعة ترييستي (Università degli Studi di Trieste) حيث أكمل التخصص الثاني في الجراحة العامة. في عام 2018 حصل على ترخيص لاستخدام الجراحة الروبوتية في نابولي.

خلال حياته المهنية تعامل مع الجراحة التنظيرية طفيفة التدخل وجراحة القولون والمستقيم، وجراحة قاع الحوض، وجراحة عبر الشرج، والعلاج الجراحي لمرض الأمعاء الالتهابي المزمن، والجراحة الروبوتية للقولون والمستقيم وقاع الحوض.

وهو مؤلف لأكثر من 120 منشورًا في مجال جراحة القولون والمستقيم وجراحة قاع الحوض تم نشرها في مجلات وطنية ودولية مثل: Diseases of the Colon & Rectum و Colorectal Disease و Surgical Innovation. وهو أيضًا مؤلف دراسات تقنية مثل: Transanal Stapling Technique (التي نشرتها دار النشر Springer) و Surgical Therapy of Hemorrhoidal Pathology و شارك أيضاً في تأليف كتاب Transanal Stapling Approach for Anorectal Prolapse.

منذ عام 2012، كان المحرر الوطني لمجلة HepatoGastroenterology التي نشرتها الجمعية الدولية للجراحين وأخصائيي أمراض الجهاز الهضمي والأورام (IASGO - International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists)، كما انه مراجع لمجلة Colorectal Disease of the Colon & Rectum.

He is the author of more than 120 publications in the field of Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Surgery in national and international journals such as Diseases of the Colon & Rectum, Colorectal Disease and Surgical Innovation. He is also the author of the monographs Transanal Stapling Technique published by Springer and Surgical Therapy of Hemorrhoidal Pathology and co-author of Transanal Stapling Approach for Anorectal Prolapse.

Since 2012 he has been the national editor of the journal HepatoGastroenterology, published by the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO). He collaborates as a reviewer for the journal Colorectal Disease of the Colon & Rectum.
