Luisella Pedrotti

Professor Luisella Pedrotti is the Head of the University Orthopedic Unit at the Istituto di Cura Città di Pavia and an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical-Surgical, Diagnostic, and Pediatric Sciences at the University of Pavia. She is responsible for the Degree Program in Orthopedic Techniques at the University of Pavia and teaches in various degree courses at the same university.

In 1983, she graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pavia and subsequently specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology. She spent periods of training abroad (Hopital Sainte-Justine – Montreal, 1987; Hopital Necker-Enfants Malades – Paris, 1987; Schulthess Klinik – Zurich, 1992; Hopital La Peyronie – Montpellier, 1998; Hospital for Special Surgery – New York, 2008; Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children – Dallas, 2009).

She obtained a Master’s degree in Metabolic Bone Diseases from the University of Florence in 2009.

Professor Pedrotti is the author of monographs and numerous publications in national and international journals, including the Italian Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Pediatric Radiology, and Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics B. Throughout her career, she has also held important institutional positions, serving as a Board Member of the Piedmont Ligurian Lombard Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (from 2002 to 2005), a Representative for the Lombardy Region of the Italian Society of Pediatric Orthopedics (from 2011 to 2014), and a member of the Board of Directors of the René Perdriolle Academy, a society for scoliosis prevention.

In 2007, she volunteered as a medical doctor at the Lusaka mission (managed by the We for Zambia Association).

She provides Orthopedic Consultancy services for the Casimiro Mondino Neurological Institute Foundation in Pavia.
