Dr. Elena Gaysina is an ophthalmologist at the Ophthalmology Unit of Policlinico San Pietro.
She graduated in Medicine and Pediatrics from the State Medical Academy of Novosibirsk, Russia, in 1999, where she also completed her specialization in Ophthalmology in 2001. In 2004, she obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Cagliari, where she also specialized in Ophthalmology in 2011.
Following her degree, she furthered her training with an advanced course in Cataract Microsurgery at the State Institute of Eye Microsurgery in St. Petersburg.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gaysina has gained extensive experience in managing pre- and post-cataract surgery patients, glaucoma, and posterior segment conditions. She is skilled in outpatient management, emergency care, YAG laser use, and imaging diagnostics.
