Dr. Daniela Messina is a pediatrician in the Pediatric and Neonatology Unit at Policlinico San Pietro.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2005.
Since 2012, she has been a medical director in the Pediatric and Neonatology Unit at Policlinico San Pietro. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in performing various diagnostic, treatment, and patient care procedures, including:
- Neonatal and pediatric resuscitation
- Placement of catheters and drains
- Nasotracheal and orotracheal intubation
- Performing lumbar punctures
- Preparation of parenteral nutrition bags
- Reading and interpreting X-ray exams
- Performing cranial ultrasounds
- Managing the neonatal infections clinic
- Use of cardio-frequency monitors, phototherapy, and infusion pumps
- Use of transport incubators with respirators
Her training is also documented by numerous scientific articles published in national and international journals, as well as her participation in training courses and conferences.
