السيرة الذاتية

Dr. Federico Emanuele Pozzi is a clinical neurologist and head of the Brain Health Service at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato, where he focuses on subjective cognitive decline and neurodegenerative dementias, with specific expertise in autoimmune encephalitis and cerebral amyloid angiopathy.

After earning his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2019, Dr. Pozzi specialized in Neurology at the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2023. That same year, he became a Fellow of the European Board of Neurology.

During his training, he engaged in extensive international research. In 2022–2023, he collaborated with the Alzheimercentrum in Amsterdam (Netherlands), working with Dr. Lemstra on the DEVELOP cohort for Lewy body disease and with Prof. van der Flier on the SCIENCe cohort on subjective cognitive decline. In 2024, he continued his research as a Visiting Scientist at the BarcelonaBeta Brain Research Center (Spain), contributing to the B-AARC cohort dedicated to Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers.

In 2023, Dr. Pozzi founded Italy’s first Brain Health Service at the IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori Foundation in Monza — an innovative program dedicated to dementia prevention. In 2025, he established a second Brain Health Service at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato. Both centers are part of the international ICOPAD (International Conference on the Prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease) network.

He is currently a PhD candidate in Neuroscience at the University of Milano-Bicocca, within a PNRR-funded project focused on the early diagnosis and prevention of dementia through multidimensional approaches, expected to conclude in 2026.

Dr. Pozzi is the author of 29 peer-reviewed scientific publications, including 11 as first author. His research centers on the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease through plasma biomarkers and on dementia prevention via multidimensional interventions and cognitive enhancement. He is also a member of the SINDEM study group on behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD).
