Biografía
Dr. Mario Rango is a specialist in neurology at Casa di Cura La Madonnina.
After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 1983 from the University of Milan, he completed a full-time practical internship (1983-1984) with authorization to practice neurosurgery. In 1987, he specialized in Neurology at the University of Milan, also with honors. In 1992, he earned his PhD in Neurological Sciences from the Ministry of Education (Rome) with an excellent evaluation. In 2005, he obtained a specialization in Radiodiagnostics (interventional neuroradiology) from the University of Milan.
Dr. Rango worked as a Neurologist (Neurology Fellow-Clinical Associate), licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania, at the Department of Neurology, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Philadelphia, USA (1987-1990), where he conducted both clinical and research activities.
He also taught Neurology as a Professor for neurology residents at the University of Pennsylvania-HUP.
In addition to his work as a neurologist at Casa di Cura La Madonnina, Dr. Rango currently has a contract for collaboration/consultancy with the Neurology Department of the IRCCS Ca' Granda Foundation, Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan, where he performs outpatient activities for Parkinson’s Disease, parkinsonism, and tremors. He is also the coordinator of the Interdepartmental Center for Spectroscopy and Advanced Magnetic Resonance Technologies applied to complex biological systems and the study of mitochondrial function.

- Neurology of cerebrovascular diseases

Dr. Rango is a consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO) for the study of brain damage through Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy.
He is also the founder and representative for Northern Italy of the International Consortium Enigma-Parkinson for the study of Parkinson's Disease.
At the IRCCS Ca' Granda Foundation, Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan, he conducts research on Parkinson’s Disease (brain pathophysiology using advanced Magnetic Resonance techniques).
