Dr. Roberto Pozzi is a surgeon at the General Surgery Unit of Policlinico San Pietro.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1995 and specialized in General Surgery at the same institution in 2001.
Previously, he held the role of First-Level Medical Manager in the General Surgery and Emergency Department at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
Dr. Pozzi performs surgeries such as gastrectomy and gastric resection, hemicolectomy using both laparoscopic and open techniques, RAR, splenectomy, cholecystectomy, and surgical treatment of the biliary tract. He also specializes in inguinal-crural hernioplasty, laparoalloplasty, laparoscopic appendectomy, thyroidectomy, NMS, STARR, and mucoproctoplasty (Longo procedure). Additionally, he performs emergency and urgent surgeries as well as hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgeries in team settings.
To date, Dr. Pozzi has completed over 3,000 surgeries, both as the lead and assisting surgeon.
He has attended national training courses in surgery and has participated in numerous congresses.
