Nikoloz Bakhtadze

Dr. Nikoloz Bakhtadze is a cardiologist at the Cardiology Units of Policlinico San Pietro and Policlinico San Marco.

He earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin in 2005 and completed his specialization in Cardiology at the University of Tbilisi, Georgia, in 2007.

Dr. Bakhtadze began his career in 1999 as a medical observer in the pediatric and adult cardiac surgery department and the Coronary Unit. He has been actively involved in the daily operations of electrophysiology and cardiac pacing in the operating room. As the lead operator, he has managed the implantation of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).

In addition, Dr. Bakhtadze specializes in cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT-P/CRT-D) systems, intracavitary electrophysiological studies, and catheter ablation, using both radiofrequency (RF) and cryotherapy, including cryoablation for atrial fibrillation.

He is a member of several professional associations, including the Italian Association of Arrhythmology and Cardiac Pacing (AIAC), the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
