Micaela Petrone

Dr. Micaela Petrone is a gynecologist at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, directed by Professor Massimo Candiani.

After graduating with top honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1995, she specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same university in 1999.

Clinically, Dr. Petrone serves as co-head of the Menopause Outpatient Clinic at San Raffaele Hospital, where she provides personalized diagnostic and therapeutic care for women's health during menopause, focusing on prevention, longevity, and a multidisciplinary clinical approach.

She has received advanced training in ultrasound and hysteroscopic diagnostics.

Her expertise in ultrasound diagnostics has been enhanced through numerous national and international residential courses in oncological gynecological imaging. She holds IOTA international certification for the diagnosis of ovarian lesions.

She has also attended several international courses and fellowships to further her skills in hysteroscopy, both diagnostic and operative, gaining extensive experience and a significant case history in hysteroscopic surgery.

In addition, Dr. Petrone has strong expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of dysfunctional intrauterine pathologies.

She supports women throughout pregnancy and regularly serves on-call in the delivery room and the obstetrics/gynecology emergency department.

In research, she has served as a co-investigator in national and international clinical trials, and is co-author of numerous scientific articles published in national and international journals, as well as book chapters. She frequently attends national and international conferences in the field.
