Luigi Sinigaglia

Dr. Luigi Sinigaglia is a Rheumatologist at Casa di Cura la Madonnina.

He graduated from the University of Milan in 1974 with a degree in Medicine and Surgery, and then received his specialization in Rheumatology in 1977 in the same university. 

He also obtained his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pavia in 1983. 

He is director of the Department of Rheumatology and Medical Sciences at the Gaetano Pini Orthopedic Trauma Center-CTO and, since 2007, director of the Complex Structure of Rheumatology at the Gaetano Pini Orthopedic Institute. 

He is currently working at Casa di Cura la Madonnina, and his fields of interest include clinical rheumatology inflammatory joint diseases such as:

• rheumatoid arthritis
• spondyloentesoarthritis
• psoriatic arthritis
• systemic connectivitis
• osteoarthritis
• metabolic arthropathies
• microcrystalline arthropathies.

He also deals with metabolic diseases of the skeleton such as:

• osteoporosis
• osteomalacies
• inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the skeleton.

He holds important positions in medical science:

• member of the Ethics Committee Milan Area 2 foundation IRCCS "Ca' Granda", Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Milan
• president of the Italian Society of Rheumatology.

He is an author of more than 200 articles in National and International journals including 99 in journals listed in Literature and has an Impact Factor of 220 and an H-index 28. 

He is also the author or co-author of 6 Volumes of Rheumatology and a speaker at more than 300 National and International Congresses on Rheumatology topics.
