Giovanni Bonaspetti

Dr. Giovanni Bonaspetti is an orthopedic surgeon and the Head of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit, Section II, at Istituto Clinico S. Anna in Brescia.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia in 1993 and later specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same university in 1999.

Dr. Bonaspetti worked as a Level 1 Medical Officer in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Spedali Civili of Brescia from 1997 to 2009. Since 2009, he has been responsible for the second section of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit at Istituto Clinico S. Anna.

He specializes in prosthetic surgery of the knee, hip, and shoulder and is an expert in:

• Robotic knee surgery
• Arthroscopic and sports trauma surgery
• Cartilage surgery
• Regenerative medicine

He was a contract professor at the Chair of Orthopedic and Traumatological Clinic, Occupational Medicine, and Sports Medicine at the Spedali Civili of Brescia until 2009.

From 2002 to 2007, he taught at the School of Specialization at the University of Brescia and is currently a lecturer in national and international courses for a Master’s in Arthroscopic Surgery.

He has also been:

• An ordinary member of the SIA (Italian Society of Arthroscopy)
• Regional delegate of the Italian Society of Arthroscopy
• Head of the Knee Faculty of the Italian Society of Arthroscopy

Additionally, he is:

• Vice President of SIAGASCOT
• A member of SIOT (Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology)
