Professor Giampaolo Bianchini is Head of Breast Oncology within the Department of Medical Oncology at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele and Associate Professor at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery in 2000 from the University of Milano-Bicocca, he specialized in Medical Oncology in 2004 at the University of Milan.
During his training, he carried out Visiting Scientist activities at several prestigious American institutions, including the National Cancer Institute (Bethesda), the MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston), and the Yale Cancer Center (New Haven).
Professor Bianchini treats patients with both early-stage and metastatic breast cancer and has nearly twenty-five years of clinical experience. He is internationally recognized as an opinion leader in the field of breast cancer. He also has a strong interest in the development of new therapies and immunotherapy approaches for the treatment of this disease.
Professor Bianchini is also Head of the Translational Clinical Research and Immunotherapy Group within the Department of Medical Oncology, and he is involved in numerous research projects dedicated to women with breast cancer, aimed at understanding mechanisms of drug response and resistance, identifying new therapeutic strategies, and defining biomarkers that improve treatment personalization.
He is the author of numerous publications in international journals such as Nature, The Lancet, Annals of Oncology, The Lancet Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Medicine, Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology and many others. He regularly participates in national and international conferences and congresses.

Dr. Bianchini is the author of numerous publications in international journals such as the Journal Clinical Oncology, Lancet Oncology, Cancer Cell, Journal National Cancer Institute, JAMA Oncology and Annals of Oncology. Its H index is 22. He regularly participates in national and international congresses and symposia.
