Dr. Antonio Trudu is a medical doctor, cardiology specialist, and psychoanalyst. He is a Senior Consultant at the University Cardiology Unit and Cardiac Imaging at IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio in Milan.

He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 1978 and, in 1986, obtained his specialization in Cardiology, also with top marks, at the University of Pavia.

In 1979, he attended the Naval Academy of the Italian Navy in Livorno, serving as a medical officer on board the training ship Amerigo Vespucci. He subsequently served as a Naval Medical Officer at the “Bruno Falcomatà” Military Hospital in La Spezia.

From 1980, he worked as an assistant cardiologist, and from 1988 to 1999 as Deputy Head Physician at the Ospedale di Cuasso al Monte (VA) in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department.
From 1999 to 2008, he was Head of Cardiology at the Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica in Como, part of the San Donato Group’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Center.

In parallel with his clinical work, he has held academic positions as Adjunct Professor of Cardiovascular Diseases in the Degree Course in Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Insubria, Varese (2001–2006).
