Sarah Marktel

Biographie

La Dre Sarah Marktel est responsable du traitement des patients atteints d'anémie héréditaire dans le service Opérationnel d'hématologie et de greffe de moelle osseuse de IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, dirigé par le professeur Fabio Ciceri.

Après avoir obtenu son diplôme en 1997 de la faculté de Médecine et de chirurgie de l'Université de Milan, elle s'est spécialisée en hématologie en 2002 à l'Université de Pavie. Au fil des ans, elle effectue divers stages à l'étranger, notamment dans les grands hôpitaux universitaires de Londres (Membership Royal College Physicians, Londres, Royaume-Uni).

La Dre Marktel aide les patients hématologiques dans leur traitement à l'hôpital d'hématologie de jour, en particulier les patients atteints de leucémie, de myélome, d'aplasie de la moelle épinière et d'anémie congénitale. Cela inclut également les patients qui ont subi une greffe de moelle osseuse autologue et allogénique au cours de leur traitement.

En ce qui concerne les activités de recherche, elle est principalement engagée dans la thérapie génique de la thalassémie.

Elle est l'auteure et le coauteure de plus de 70 publications dans des revues scientifiques de l'industrie. Elle participe en permanence aux congrès nationaux et internationaux de l'industrie.
