Biografía

El Dr. Paolo Parise es responsable de la Unidad Funcional de Cirugía del Tracto Digestivo Superior en la Unidad Operativa de Cirugía Gastroenterológica del Hospital IRCCS San Raffaele de Milán, dirigida por el profesor Riccardo Rosati.

Tras licenciarse en Medicina y Cirugía en la Universidad de Padua en 1997, el Dr. Parise se especializó en Cirugía General en la misma institución en 2004. Ese mismo año realizó un periodo de formación en el Hospital San Marcos de Londres.

Paolo Parise realiza actividades clínicas y quirúrgicas en el campo de la cirugía general, oncológica y funcional del esófago, colo-proctológica y de la obesidad, favoreciendo en particular las más modernas técnicas de abordaje mínimamente invasivo. Ha realizado cientos de operaciones como primer y segundo operador de cirugía esofágica, gástrica, colo-proctológica con enfoque mínimamente invasivo y/o tradicional. En particular, es experto en enfermedades esófago-gástricas oncológicas y funcionales.

En el campo de la investigación, se interesa principalmente por las patologías gastroenterológicas funcionales y oncológicas y por la cirugía mínimamente invasiva. Es autor y coautor de 28 publicaciones en revistas especializadas y 4 capítulos de libros. Su índice h es de 9. Participa constantemente como ponente en congresos nacionales e internacionales del sector. Desde 2005, es profesor de la Escuela Nacional de Cirugía Esofágica de la A.C.O.I. y es el responsable científico de los cursos de Cirugía del Aparato Digestivo para cirujanos italianos y europeos que se llevan a cabo en el Hospital San Raffaele. Desde mayo de 2018 hasta la fecha, es presidente y fundador de la Sociedad Italiana para el Estudio de las Enfermedades del Esófago - S.I.S.M.E.
