Massimiliano Marco Corsi Romanelli

Professor Massimiliano Marco Corsi Romanelli is Director of the Integrated Department of Operative Clinical Pathology SMEL-1 at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato in Milan and Professor of Clinical Pathology at the University of Milan.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the State University of Milan, where he then specialized with honors in Experimental Endocrinology equivalent to Clinical Pathology. He has a PhD in Pathophysiology.  Abroad, he attended the Department of Cellular Immunology at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and the Istituto di Patologia Cellulare at the Catholic University of Louvain in Brussels. In the period from 2000 to 2003 he was invited and worked as a Professor at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Pathology of the Karolinska Cancer Center in Stockholm.

Professor Massimiliano Marco Corsi Romanelli is the author of chapters of books, monographs, and university translations. He publishes over 189 scientific articles published in the International Journal of Cardiology, Immunity & Aging, Mediators of Inflammation, European Journal of Internal Medicine, Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice, Endocrine, European Journal of Nutrition e Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine. 

He has contributed to the following scientific journals: Journal of Neuroimmunology, Immunity and Aging, Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, Rejuvenation Research, European Journal of Applied Physiology, International Journal of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Clinic Biochemistry and International Journal of Cardiology. He is President of the Italian Society of Pathology (SIPMET) and President of the Executive Committee of Clinical Pathology. Member of the International Affairs Committee of the Association of Molecular Pathology (AMP). It has the Hirsch Index 31.

During his career he has received various ministerial (MIURST, Ministry of Health) and private (bank funds) funding.
