Teodoro Altavilla
Biography
Dr. Teodoro Altavilla is a Neurologist and Neurophysiologist at the Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo and the Istituto di Cura Città di Pavia.
He earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia in 1991, where he later obtained his medical license. In 1992, he registered with the Provincial Medical Association of Pavia, and in 1996, he specialized in Neurophysiology at the same university.
Dr. Altavilla is the Head of the Neurology and Neurophysiology Service, the Head of the Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, and leads both the General Neurology and Movement Disorders outpatient clinics and the Electromyography clinic. He also oversees the Botulinum Toxin Therapy Unit.
Throughout his career, Dr. Altavilla has completed several specialized courses on:
- Headaches
- Movement Disorders and Parkinson’s Disease
- Dystonias
- Neurodegenerative Diseases
- Botulinum Toxin Therapy
He is an expert in diagnosing and treating neurodegenerative diseases, central and peripheral nervous system disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headaches, and cerebrovascular diseases.
Dr. Altavilla also provides Botulinum Toxin Therapy for spasticity and treats primary and focal dystonias. He is a member of the Italian Society for the Study of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders (LIMPE).
