Biography

Dr. Stefano Erzegovesi is Chief Physician of the Eating Disorders Center of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan.

His studies began with a degree in medicine and surgery in 1991 at the University of Milan, where he specialized in psychiatry in 1997. In 2012, he received a second specialization in food sciences at the University of Milan Bicocca.

Stefano Erzegovesi is a nutritionist and psychiatrist, as well as a member of the scientific committee of "EAT Alimentation Sostenibile", a project of the Gruppo San Donato Foundation to promote a healthy food culture in all residential environments (family, school, hospital, traditional corporate catering, etc.). He is an Associate Professor at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery (Medical and Psychopathological Aspects of Human Nutrition) and in the Faculty of Psychology (Food Between Body and Mind: Psychological and Psychopathological Aspects of Nutrition).

Since 2002, he has been working full-time with eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, obesity), both as a clinical activity (hospital rehabilitation department, day hospital, polyclinic) and as a teaching activity (Vita Salute San Raffaele University). From 2012 until today, he has been involved in preventive nutrition (health project in Ospedale San Raffaele, EAT GSD Foundation project).

In addition to numerous publications in international scientific journals, he is engaged in the scientific dissemination of healthy nutrition and motivational aspects related to the conscious consumption of vegetables, fruits, whole grains and legumes.
