Biography

Dr. Stefania Padovan is a specialist in Neurosurgery and practices at Villa Erbosa in Bologna.

She graduated with full honors (110/110 cum laude and an excellence distinction) in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Padua in 2013 and completed her specialization in Neurosurgery with top marks (50/50) at the same institution in 2020.

During her training, she deepened her knowledge in neuro-oncology under the mentorship of Professor Francesco DiMeco at the Carlo Besta Neurological Institute – IRCCS Foundation in Milan. She also collaborated with Professor Sebastien Froelich, which led to a professional and educational experience at the "Neurochirurgie de l’Hôpital Lariboisière" in Paris, where she honed her expertise in surgery and pathologies of the anterior, middle, and posterior cranial base.

From 2021 to September 2024, Dr. Padovan worked as a permanent Neurosurgeon at the Padua Hospital, performing cranial and instrumented spinal surgeries independently.

In 2024, she expanded her professional focus by starting training and specialization in the fields of Wellness Medicine and Pain Therapy. Her professional development includes systemic and intramuscular oxygen-ozone therapy, as well as techniques for rejuvenation, biorestructuring, and dermal densification.

Her training and continuous professional development at renowned national and international centers have solidified her expertise in neuro-oncological and spinal neurosurgery.

In spinal surgery, she has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques and the use of advanced technologies and materials.

Dr. Padovan performs complex spinal surgeries, focusing on:

  • Degenerative vertebral deformities: herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, scoliosis
  • Myelopathy
  • Vertebral fractures: post-traumatic, pathological, or osteoporotic
  • Vertebral tumors
  • Entrapment syndromes: carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, or common peroneal nerve

She actively participates in scientific conferences and courses on dissection and applied neuroanatomy and has authored scientific publications in international journals.
