Simone Luraghi
Biography
Dr. Simone Luraghi is a surgeon at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio, an orthopedic consultant at Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica in Como, and also works at Palazzo della Salute Wellness Clinic.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2005 and obtained his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2010.
He completed a master's degree in Knee Arthroscopy and Corrective Knee Surgery at Alpha Klinic in Munich and a master's degree in Custom-made Knee Prosthetic Surgery at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Boston.
He began his career at IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi, where he specialized in knee surgery in the Knee Surgery and Reconstructive Knee Arthroscopy department.
Currently, at Istituto Sant’Ambrogio, he focuses on cartilage disorders of the knee and sports traumatology of the knee.
Dr. Luraghi handles conservative treatments for cartilage and tendon disorders using infiltrative treatments with hyaluronic acid, growth factors, PRP, ACP, and mesenchymal cells.
He is specialized in knee prosthetic surgery, with particular interest in the latest generation "custom-made" prostheses for patients.
The prosthetic implant is created using iFit Image-to-Implant technology, which transforms 3D CT images into specific instrumentation and a prosthesis tailored for each patient.
He is specialized in arthroscopic knee surgery within the field of sports traumatology, dealing with ligament reconstruction and treatments for meniscal and cartilage lesions.
Additionally, he is involved in hip prosthetic surgery using minimally invasive anterior techniques and lower limb traumatology.
