Pier Giorgio Toschi
Biography
Dr. Pier Giorgio Toschi is an ophthalmologist at the Oculistic Unit of Villa Erbosa and collaborates with Villa Chiara in Bologna.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna in 1983. In 1987, he completed his specialization in Ophthalmology at the University of Modena. Following his specialization, he received a scholarship at the ICRS Burlo Garofolo Hospital in Trieste.
Dr. Toschi has collaborated with the Oculistic Unit of the Hospital of Feltre, Conegliano, and the University Hospital S. Orsola Malpighi in Bologna. In his ophthalmic practice, he focuses on outpatient clinical activities and instrumental semiotics, including:
- Ultrasound
- Fluorescein angiography
- Electrophysiology
- Optical coherence tomography (OCT)
He also performs surgical procedures in the operating room, specifically in anterior segment surgery, addressing conditions such as cataracts and glaucoma, as well as posterior segment surgery, including vitrectomy and episcleral surgery for retinal detachment.
Dr. Toschi has several publications in Italian and international journals related to cataracts, glaucoma, and case reports.
