Biography

Dr. Paola De Luca is a Senior Researcher at Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio, where she leads research projects in the fields of nutrition and orthopedics. She also works as a nutritionist at the Punto RAF on Via Respighi and at Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio.  

After earning a five-year degree in Molecular Biology, she qualified as a biologist and later obtained the title of "Expert in Biotechnology" through a second-level university master's degree. She then earned a PhD in Experimental and Clinical Nutrition. Her educational path was further enriched by a master's degree in Human Nutrition and another in Pediatric Nutrition.  

As a clinical nutritionist, she specializes in creating personalized dietary plans for weight management and for supporting specific metabolic, oncological, and orthopedic conditions. During consultations, she provides nutritional education programs to promote patients' overall well-being.  

With over a decade of experience in scientific research, she has been directly involved in research projects in oncology (Mario Negri Institute in Milan), oncological-orthopedic studies (Mario Negri Institute - Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute), nutritional research (University of Milan), orthopedic studies, and musculoskeletal-nutritional research (Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio).  

Currently, she is the Principal Investigator (PI) of projects assessing the nutritional impact on orthopedic patients undergoing regenerative medicine treatments with autologous products. Her research aims to identify modifiable nutritional and metabolic factors, contributing to the advancement of increasingly personalized medicine.
