Biography

Dr. Mario D’Errico is an orthopedic surgeon at the Orthopedic Reconstructive Joint Surgery Unit of the O.R.A.C.O. Clinic at the Istituto Clinico San Siro and the Orthopedics and Traumatology III Unit at the Istituti Clinici Zucchi in Monza. He also collaborates with the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant’Ambrogio and the Palazzo della Salute Wellness Clinic in Milan.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Naples in 2015 and, in 2020, completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Milan with honors.

In 2019, Dr. D’Errico enhanced his academic experience with a Fellowship at Saint Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada, where he worked closely with Dr. Timothy R. Daniels (designer of the fourth-generation Integra ankle prosthesis), Dr. Amit Atrey and Dr. Amir Khoshbin (experts in hip prosthetic surgery), and Dr. Daniel B. Whelan (head of sports trauma).

Since 2020, he has been part of the O.R.A.C.O. team, focusing primarily on knee prosthetic and arthroscopic surgery, hip prosthetics, and Regenerative Medicine (PRP, Lipogems, Mesenchymal Cells).

His specialties include the treatment of traumatic and degenerative conditions affecting the knee and hip, with particular interest in hip and knee osteoarthritis, as well as cartilage, ligament, and meniscal injuries of the knee.

Dr. D’Errico is also active in research, with publications in leading international journals on lower limb surgery and patient management through prosthetic registries.
