Marco Lavazza
Biography
Dr. Marco Lavazza is an orthopedic surgeon at the Orthopedics II Unit of the Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2008 and specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2014.
His professional experience includes:
- From 2009 to 2014, he trained at the Orthopedic and Knee Traumatology Unit II at the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi.
- From April 2013 to May 2013, he participated in a fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery (Manhattan, New York).
- From 2014 to 2022, he worked at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit at the Istituto Clinico Sant’Ambrogio (Milan).
- Since 2014, he has worked at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit of the Foot at the Istituto Clinico Villa Aprica (Como).
Since 2013, he has volunteered with the NGO Orthopaedics, gaining extensive experience in volunteer work in developing countries.
Dr. Lavazza primarily focuses on lower limb surgery, particularly minimally invasive hip and knee prosthetic surgery, sports surgery such as anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and arthroscopic procedures for meniscal repair or regularization.
He is the author of several publications in prestigious national and international journals.
