Marco Bigoni
Biography
Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SSD MED/33) at the Department of Medicine and Surgery, University of Milan-Bicocca, as of October 1, 2021, he has been the University Director of the Orthopedic and Traumatology Clinic at Ponte San Pietro.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1991 with honors. In 1996, he obtained his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology (University of Milan) with honors and in 2006, he completed his specialization in Sports Medicine (University of Milan-Bicocca).
From 1997 to 2021, he worked as a Medical Director at the Orthopedic Clinic of the University of Milan at the S. Gerardo Hospital in Monza. On March 1, 2002, he became a University Researcher, and on November 1, 2017, he was appointed Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Milan-Bicocca.
In addition to his clinical duties, he is responsible for managing and organizing teaching for students of the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan-Bicocca. He is the holder of the Clinical Osteoarticular Course for the Degree Course in Physiotherapy at the University of Milan-Bicocca, and Program Director of the Locomotor Vertical Track of the School of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan-Bicocca (an English-language degree course in Bergamo). He also collaborates with the teaching and organizational activities of the Orthopedics and Traumatology specialization school at the University of Milan-Bicocca.
He is an organizer, chairman, and speaker at numerous national and international courses and conferences.
He provides consultancy for leading companies in the medical and pharmaceutical fields internationally.
His research areas include clinical and surgical aspects related to Orthopedics and Traumatology, Bone Metabolism and related pathologies in orthopedic surgery: prosthetic surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and sports traumatology for both adults and growing individuals.
