Biography

Dr. Laurenzia Ferraris is an infectious diseases specialist at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.

In 2006, she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan. In 2011, she received a specialization in tropical medicine at the University of Milan, and in 2016 - a doctorate in infectious diseases at the same university.

After graduation and specialization, he spends some periods of study abroad in developing countries. She subsequently focused her studies on cardiovascular infections, earning a doctorate in endocarditis.

At the Policlinico San Donato, Dr. Ferraris provides consultations on infectious diseases in all departments. She is particularly interested in organizing treatment:

  • infections affecting the cardiovascular system (infectious endocarditis, infections of vascular prostheses, pacemakers and defibrillators);
  • infections of the osteoarticular system (osteomyelitis, spondylodiscitis, septic arthritis and infections of orthopedic prostheses);
  • venereal diseases;
  • infections caused by polyresistant bacteria.
