Biography
Dr. Orlys Jones Romero is a physician in the Emergency Department at Policlinico San Pietro.
In 2002, he graduated in Medicine from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Cuba, where he obtained a second degree in General Integrated Medicine in 2004. In 2010, he specialized in Ophthalmology at the same institution. In 2013, he earned a master's degree in Medical Emergencies in Primary Health Care.
Throughout his career, he has gained experience in laser treatment and clinical and surgical management of conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, ocular surface diseases, and anterior segment disorders.
Dr. Jones Romero has also served as an assistant professor at the University of Medicine in Santiago de Cuba and as an associate researcher at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences.
He is the author and co-author of several scientific publications.
