Giorgio Gastaldi
Biography
Professor Giorgio Gastaldi is the Head of the Maxillofacial Surgery and Odontostomatology Unit at the Istituto Clinico San Rocco in Brescia. He is an Associate Professor of "Prosthetics" in the Dental Medicine and Dental Hygiene degree programs and the Director of the Orthognathodontics Specialization School at the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan.
He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia and then specialized in Odontostomatology at the University of Turin.
Throughout his career, Professor Gastaldi has focused on the treatment of oro-dental conditions in immunocompromised and oncological children, managing dental preparation for children undergoing bone marrow transplants. In the Unit he leads, he oversees implant-prosthetic rehabilitation and maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation for oncological patients in the facial region.
He actively participates as a speaker at numerous national and international conferences and publishes scientific articles in national and international journals. In 2016, he was elected to the national board of the Italian Society of Odontostomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery (SIOCMF). From 2014 to 2015, he served as President of the Italian Society of Prosthetic and Implant Prosthetic Odontostomatology (SIOPI).
