Gianluca Rossetti

Dr. Gianluca Rossetti is the Head of the Obesity Surgery Department of the Clinico Beato Matteo in Vigevano.

In 1996, he graduated with honors from the Second University of Naples, where he subsequently received a specialization in the field of surgery of the digestive system and endoscopy of the digestive system, as well as general surgery. In 2005, he completed his PhD in Biotechnology and Surgery of the Digestive System at the University of Naples and finally received his Master's Degree in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Level 2 from the Federico II University of Naples.

His professional experience includes the period from 1997 to 1998 as the Head of the medical service of the command of the Southern Military District. He then continues as Medical Director of the Surgical Department of S. Maria delle Grazie di Pozzuoli (2006-2008) and as an outpatient specialist in the Department of General and Emergency Surgery of Ospedaliero S. Maria di Loreto Nuovo (2009-2015).

From 2013 to 2015 he was an outpatient specialist in the Comprehensive Department of Operative Surgical Digestive Physiopathology of the Second University of Naples, where he teaches as an expert in the discipline of general surgery and where he teaches the physiotherapy course "Supramesocolic Surgery" for the Specialized School of Digestive Surgery (2014 -2016).

To date, Dr. Gianluca Rossetti has performed about 2,500 operations in the field of digestive tract surgery, in particular in the field of bariatric surgery.

A member of prestigious scientific societies such as the Italian Society of Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery (SICE), the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) and the International Federation of Obesity Surgery (IFSO), during his career he participates in a large number of national and international congresses.
