Fausto Lella

Dr. Fausto Lella is a gastroenterologist and endoscopist at the Digestive Endoscopy and Gastroenterology Unit of Policlinico San Pietro.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Chieti in 1985 and specialized in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the University of Milan in 1992. In 2016, he completed a Level II Master’s in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Ecoendoscopy at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan.

Between 1988 and 1991, Dr. Lella served as the Head of the Medical Ambulatory at San Vittore Prison in Milan and was a Volunteer Physician for the Institute of Medical Pathology. He then practiced as a freelance physician in the Emergency Department at Policlinico San Marco in Zingonia (Bergamo). He also worked as an Assistant Physician in the Geriatrics Department, a Deputy Medical Officer in the Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy Unit, and eventually became the Head of the same Unit. Additionally, he has been involved in teaching at the I School of Specialization in Gastroenterology and General Surgery at the University of Milan.

Dr. Lella has authored numerous publications in national and international scientific journals and is a member of prestigious scientific societies, including the Italian Society of Gastroenterology and the Italian Society of Digestive Endoscopy.
