Enrico Giuseppe Bertoldo
Biography
Dr. Enrico Giuseppe Bertoldo is a Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Clinical Psychology Service of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato in Milan, and a Contract Professor in Clinical Psychology at the University of Milan.
He graduated in Sociology from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1994. In 2009, he earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Urbino Carlo Bo. After obtaining his Master's degree and passing the state exam, he registered with the Lombardy Psychologists’ Board. He then completed a PhD in Neurosciences.
In 2018, he specialized in Psychotherapy at the Centro Studi di Terapia della Gestalt in Milan. In 2021, he completed an Executive Master in Clinical Neuropsychology of Adults and the Elderly at IUSTO in Turin.
Dr. Bertoldo's areas of expertise include:
- Neuropsychological evaluations
- Psychotherapy
- Psychological support and cognitive rehabilitation for both hospitalized patients and outpatients at the Clinical Psychology Service
He addresses psychological issues related to:
- Mood disorders
- Anxiety and personality disorders
He performs psychodiagnostic assessments to evaluate psychological-clinical issues and the adaptive and dysfunctional strategies of personality.
In the field of aging and cognitive function disorders, he conducts neuropsychological evaluations and neurocognitive rehabilitation activities in collaboration with the Neurology Unit in the Neuropsychology Clinic.
He is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist for trauma management.
Dr. Bertoldo supervises interns from the Psychology degree program and psychotherapy trainees.
He also provides educational activities at the University of Milan in the Nursing Science degree program and ECM training for healthcare personnel at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
He participates in various research projects at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato related to psychological functioning, quality of life, and health perception in patients with congenital and acquired heart conditions.
Additionally, he collaborates on neuroscientific studies focused on predicting the progression to Alzheimer’s disease in patients diagnosed with Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and studies cognitive functioning before and after cardiac surgery, both transcatheter (TAVI) and open (SAVR).
He is a regular member of the Italian Society of Neurosciences (SINS) and the Italian Society of Neuropsychology (SINP).
