Cesare Donarini
Biography
Dr. Cesare Donarini is an internist at the Internal Medicine Unit of Istituto Clinico San Siro.
He graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1998, where he also specialized in Internal Medicine in 2003.
In 2001, he attended a training course in Anthroposophic Medicine organized by the Italian Society of Anthroposophic Medicine (SIMA).
In 2008, he completed a specialization course in Clinical Immunopathology. In 1999, he was appointed head of a Young Researchers Project funded by the Ministry of University and Research (M.U.R.S.T.) to explore the role of the inflammatory system in Alzheimer's disease.
Dr. Donarini currently provides consulting services for the Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Units.
He treats patients with cardiovascular, renal, pulmonary, and metabolic disorders and supports orthopedic colleagues in managing complex surgical wounds.
For over ten years, he has been engaged in outpatient activities including internal medicine ultrasound, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and vascular color Doppler ultrasound.
One of his main areas of interest is immunology, with a focus on inflammatory systems (complement system and contact system) in Alzheimer's disease.
Dr. Donarini has conducted basic research on the pathophysiological mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease and is involved in clinical research in anthroposophic medicine, including pain management, complementary therapy in oncology, and cardiology.
He has published over 10 articles in international journals.
