Carla Rescaldani
Biography
Dr. Carla Rescaldani is an Ophthalmologist in the Ophthalmology Unit at Policlinico San Pietro.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1993 and specialized in Ophthalmology at Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan in 1997.
Dr. Rescaldani spent much of her career as an ophthalmologist in the Ophthalmology Unit at San Gerardo Hospital in Monza, where she performed first- and second-level outpatient care, surgery, ward duties, and emergency services. She collaborated for years as a consultant with the pediatric hematology division and led the Low Vision Clinic, helping patients with severe visual impairment by selecting magnifying aids and training them in their use. In recent years, she also managed the Fluorescein Angiography Clinic.
Dr. Rescaldani has extensive experience in retinal and macular disease imaging diagnostics, including fluorescein angiography, indocyanine green angiography, OCT angiography, OCT, autofluorescence, and multicolor imaging. She is also co-author of the *Practical Atlas of Angio-OCT*, published by EDRA Spa in 2018 in both Italian and English.
